    Cool the bajillionth new guy

wsup guys been browsin this forum for a little bit now and everyone seems real cool and chill but ive been debatin for the longest time between the evo and sti. Evo wise im think evo9 mr and sti wise im leanin toward the 08-09 sti used to hate the hatchback but its startin to grow on me would appreciate any feedback u guys have. Obviously by me buyin a evo9 id be savin a decent amount of money but just performace wise which would u guys prefer? thx in advance.

EDIT : one of my good friends just got a 07 sti like 2 days ago and i went for a quick ride and honestly it feels like it pulls harder then the evo8 another one of my buddies has but i just love the evo but i am very open minded xD

i dont remember where i saw it (either a magazine or top gear idk) but the Evo is the car you take to the nurbergring and the STI is the car you drive back home in. just from experience where i live it seems the average evo is a bit faster than the average sti, but the sti seems to be alot more quality and comfort.

If it won't run now it doesn't matter how it performed if/when it did run.

Buy the most reliable car you can find, in stock condition and with a full service history.

My money would be on the newest Subaru possible that has not been modified and still has a valid warranty. Opinions vary though. See what Mitsu owners think too and look at records for both cars before deciding (though if you like the hatch then that's that).

i've always loved evo's just as much as sti's however

after consistantly reading my evo friends facebook updates about clutches & transmissions going out- i've decided i'll never get one.

they dont seem very reliable & if youre buying one with a warranty- mitsubishi will pretty much void it if you breathe on the car wrong.

    i'd find the newest/lowest mileage/stock sti possible.

^ Seriously. My brother used to own an 8 and the clutch went at like 15k miles I think it was. It was never dumped/launched. In addition to that, Mitsu didn't do much about it.

So I guess I'm trying to say go for the STi. Besides, it looks so much better than the Evo anyway ha.
