    Joining the club!

Hey there everyone, names jackie, well im getting into the Subbi scene.
Yes yes, im trading my 1993 Mazda Rx7 for a 2005 Subaru, start off the rx7 has a 2002 LS1/Ls6 Boltons!

yeah im gonna miss it. But starting a family and all.
Well what are some good BPU upgrades??? reliability an drivablity.

So far ive read on Cobbs Stage II setup. Wondering what power that would put down, ive read on it and so far i like the response but no track times and AWHP/torque setup. well im here to learn more.

    Thanks guys!
    -Jackie

    Welcome!

I believe the power levels on a stage 2 05 wrx will be the same as my 02 wrx. According to my research the average AWHP is around 210 on 91 octane pump gas (as much as 270 at the crank, and up to ~8 more if you throw in a set of silicone intercooler hoses while you're in there which is pretty good for $120). Not too sure about the torque numbers.

However, the numbers vary significantly depending on how aggressive/conservative the tune is and what fuel you get. and you WILL need a tune on an 05 for stage 2 hardware. All we get in California is either 91 octane premium or 106 octane race fuel.

Good luck with your new subie!

I made 247 whp / 243 ft lbs tq with a custom tune with stage 2 mods. A typical Cobb OTS stage 2 map would put down +/-225 on the same dyno.

I ran a 13.09 @ 104 on that setup. Most Cobb OTS map users will run 13.5-13.8 @ ~100 on a good run.

Will the Accessport be good enough to tune??? its a STi so i beleive it doesnt have a cat in the uppipe.

And its throwing a Check engine light, also it has a P2019, somethign with cruise control, i looked around and found the sensor, its plugged it(i blieve its the sensor). Havnt checked for pop fuses yet, and the check engine also is for P0420 but thats O2s for having no cat. lol

Get some input please and thankyou!

yup. if its an sti its already catless so you're good to go as far as thats concerned. if you have the AP you can run the stage 2 map & you'll be fine.
