    with your stock wheels they wont fit.

    I can't see the wheels in your picture, and you haven't given us the wheel dimensions and offset, so I assume you have stock wheels. On stock wheels, that will not fit.

    sorry dude wasnt clear no not for stock wheels im saying if i get aftermarket 17 rims will they work and if not im asking y would it rubb thanx in advance oo what would rim would work

    i just have brand new tires no rims i wanna make sure these tires will fit if i get aftermarket 17s also i dont have stock suspension i have the tein coilover set up ....

    OP, everyone is trying to help but youre not giving us any information

    1) what width are the wheels you're looking at? 17x?
    2) what is the offset of the wheels you are looking at buying?

    this is what im saying i have just tires im wondering with what rim these tires will work best with ,in fact if they would work in the wheel well or will they rub i have 225/40-18 on my car now and i got these tires 235/40zr -17 as a gift iwas afraid that they would b to wide im trying to figure out if they r so i dont waste my money on 17 in wheels

    look at a 17x7.5 wheel for those tires with an offset in the "sweet spot" and those tires will be fine.

    Hey, this may not make much difference but I wanted to point out that the car in his avatar picture is not an '02 WRX. Just going by the title of the thread, wouldn't this cause some issues with rubbing on the earlier models or are the fender flares the same?

    I'd actually recommend a 17x8 with a +48 thru 45 offset.
