Looking to buy a WRX

Hey everyone, I am 15 and will be turning 16 in couple months, I have wanted a WRX for a year or so now, I am looking to spend around 10k. I want a 02-04, does that seem about tight for my price range? and how many miles should I be looking for on the car? I was thinking I could find one with around 50k-80k. Thanks.

Insurance is going to be very high being the age that you are. and often a turbo-charged/ high HP vehicle is discouraged against being such a young age.

will this be your first car? if so- you should honestly look at an impreza instead of a wrx. after you get a few years of driving & experience under your belt, transition into a wrx.

i agree with both. just an example of the insurance. my wife got a toyota celica for her first car. the insurance was outrageous. it was around $150 to $175 a month. the subaru would probly be even more than that or the same cause its way more a sports car then a celica.

Hey, sorry to bump such an old post. Thank you guys for your input, I picked up a beautiful rbp 99 Impreza 2.5rs with 84k on it and a few tasteful mods. Thanks for the suggestions
