Hey guys! Pretty sure I'm not your typical new member , I actually drive a 2003 Mustang V6 lol.

The reason I joined was because I am looking to sell the six and buy a WRX. I can't really decide if I want a 2003-2004 STI or a 2009 WRX sedan. I'm not going to turn this car into a track beast, just looking for a nice looking decently powered car that has potential for more if I do decide to go to the track now and then.

Here's what my Mustang looks like, let me know what you guys think and also what your opinions are about the STI vs WRX.

    you are lucky lol

I am leaning towards the 09 wrx, i think itll come out to the same price as a used sti and the interior of the 09's is much nicer! plus i would have a newer car...

What are the goels for your car? Eachcar has it's advantages and disadvantages (STi's are primarily money based, insurance etc.... but it has a better platform for power) As always, get what you can afford. Good luck!

Greetings and welcome to the Club!

I would opt for the 2009 WRX. Have fun in whatever you choose.

Would the insurance price difference between the STI and the 09 WRX be alot? I mean, I really don't plan on going all out for power, pretty much all I'd want is a tune and and exhaust stuff, then it'd be all exterior for me lol.

---Opt for the 09 WRX then. You get the warranty (so long as you don't void it) plus power wise you are close in acceleration times as the STi

Insurance prices vary a lot - get quotes to be sure.

I would buy new whenever possible. Warranties are nice to have and you don't have to worry about previous owners hammering a car too hard.

Car and driver tested the 2009 WRX and found it to be as fast as any STi they had tested.
