Hey guys I'm new to the forums.... Just a little info, I just moved back to the states from a 2 year tour in Japan... I finally picked up my 02 wrx and I was planning on getting boost control.
Any suggestions?

With stock turbo whats the highest boost I can run with out blowin **** up?
um i think the stock turbo is good for 17 or 18 psi, its not a very big turbo.
i'd stick to open source for boost control/tuning but if u insist on getting a MBC a have a Turbo smart dual stage MBC for sale, make offer if interested

I would recommend letting someone tune your car and having them decide how much boost you should run.
I wish i could figure out where this 17psi # came from. I run 20.5 psi from around 3600 RPM too 5000, then tapering to 14 at redline. You can REALLY push the stock turbo hard and get fairly good results.
However....i dont know how much you can run on pump fuel. I think i used to run about 17 psi tapering to 12.5 on 91 oct.
