    From one snail to another

Hey guys, I'm brand new on here and i just would like to say hello and let everybody know where i'm coming from.

I just bought my brand new 08 WRX last week and i have to say, i love it. It is definitely the most Real car i have ever owned.

Before my rex i owned a 2003 Ford Focus 3 door hatch that i put more money into than i would care to disclose. I basically bought the car two more times over by the time i traded it for my subie last week. I was a big time Focus tuner and i spend a lot of time under my car and at local meets. I built the car pretty seriously but as time went on i realized that it was going to cost me even more to get it as fast as i wanted it and it was already becoming a terrible daily driver. Not to mention living in socal where smog checks and hood pops are prevalent, it was just getting too tough. So i traded my supercharged focus for my new turbo boxer. And as sad as i am to let all my focus time go out the window, i'm done and i am not looking back.

    Thanks guys
    Chris

Congrats on the move over to a subaru. I went through the same ordeal with my 97 eclipse (bad sputtering probs, $6K plus into parts and labor for rebuild so i could turbo and then spun a bearing 600 miles into, had to drop another $1300 to fix that)

In my siggy. 09 WRX only mod is a muffler delete pipe. Wicked sound. Looking at an STS, sway bars and a tune later. Gotta get handling in balance to run up HWY 33. Ever been up that way?

My Jeep is killin my mod money. Just Empty Every Pocket. Its the family toy, its all good.

oh absolutely! I used to take the focus up there all the time. Its a wicked ride all the way through till santa paula. The only vice is when you get stuck behind too many cars.

Which muffler did you pull out? And i was thinking about doing that as a cheap mod for some boxer sound...
