Sup all, just bought black 2004 Subie WRX.

Previous owner saved me some cash and did a few mods already for me. Im typically a built guy instead of bought, but it saved me cash so to hell with it!

Turbo XS intake, Turbo XS BOV, STi Short shifter, perrin lowering springs, perrin 3" turbo back, and access port with stage 2 pro tune.

Only thing is that its wingless.
That'll be fixed soon as I get some spare cash to put a STi wing on it. Color matched or carbon fiber, the cars black so dunno which one yet.

Wingless is teh sex!!!! I love the lines of the body without the wing and the flow of the trunk lines, why cover it with a big bulk crap!? Anyway your car, if you like it do it

Welcome to the club, hope you stay awhile, my only suggestion is to seriously remove the bov and reinstall stock ASAP!

REDDING CALI? My GF lives in Redding she is the manages a store in the mall there.

no way dude! Can she get me a job?
Im a pretty good looking young man if i do say so myself, and im in the job market.

Ill have to study the body lines and see what I think of the wing. Its just that to me a wingless trunk looks bland with sich an aggressive front end.

Im also going to be getting 20% tint for the lights all around.

Any pointers on at least somewhat light weight, gold colored rims?

This car is going to be the sex.

oh yeah, and why remove the BOV?
(sorry new to subies, used to be a honda guy)

Its cool bro, as far as the job, I dunno just apply

The BOV it tends to lean out the motor and is just plain bad for it. It also gets very annoying in a short amount of time.

Aggressive front end: My 2005 STi looks amazing with the factory fog covers, factory spats and the vlimited carbon fiber lip, it is wingless. Actually I have paid to remove the spoiler on all my subarus.

20% tint on windows or lights? Personally dislike the tinted lights but to each his own. As far as windows, I always do 20% it looks great.

Light weight gold wheels: Find some 2004 STi owner that wants to sell his factory BBS' or OZ makes some as well as WORKS, or VOLK

How much of a hit on performance are we talking about?

This will be my first turbocharged car so im kinda dying to run around town blasting my BOV every time i shift. Not gonna lie.

Its already got 20% on the rear 3 windows, and im gonna add it to the lights. Im going for a blacked out look.
The gold rims should explode to your eyes since the rest will be all black.

As far as performance a BOV does nothing but bad for you so... 0 performance gains there..

If they know what they are looking at, they know its turboed... If they dont know what they are looking at, prove to them it is by blowing there doors off..... (on an approved race track of course )

Your car will lose performance between shifts/throttle off. The computer thinks that blown off air is still in the system and so it meters "extra" fuel which can foul your spark plugs faster. Also, if you have a cat it will lower its performance as well.

Thanks man, I just read that in the BOV thread.
So basically if it has a return line, its all good.
    If not, take it off.
    Got it.

For the most part yup. Just make sure the valve ain't set too tight, or you'll get a weird turkey noise and turbo problems later on.

Sorry man I dont believe the TurboXS valves go both ways. I think they are atmospheric only.

Welcome to the club and congrats on the WRX!
I am glad you are enjoying your ride.
I agree with you think the car will look very cool with a rear wing.
