Ive personally shaved the trunk lid spoiler off of all 4 wrx/sti's Ive owned.. HATE EM

To each there own tho. I did see a hawkeye today, black lowered black wheels black windows black taillights and wingless. It had the type RA grille mod and the cherry blossom red badges front and rear. Pretty slick lookin car for a hawkeye.

Id like the STi wing just because I think it looks better.

Ill have to get it home first before I make any final decisions though.

Someone rear ended the poor thing the day before I got it, so their replacing the entire trunk, bumper, and quarter panels jsut to make sure its in like new condition. Although it coulda just gotten a buff job on the trunk and replaced the bumper and tweaked the quarter panel edges where it meets the trunk.
Im glad its being repaired right.
I pick it up from the shop in two weeks.

Although its lights were missing I test drove it around the block and DAMNNNNNN that thing has some frigging GO power.
The turbo xs BOV sounds great too, not a high pitch piercing sound but more of a very powerfull WHOOOSH. Only in second gear at 4k rpm as I rounded a corner and went to shift to third and EVERYONE on the street turned their heads.

Before I even drive im putting a new shift knob on it.
First thing I wanna do is add on an up pipe since I already got a turbo back.
Then smoke the front and rear lights.
Paint wheels goldish bronzish. (how descriptive right?)

and whenever it happens swap my trunk for an STi winged trunk.

Ill be set for awhile then.

just a suggestion... idk how much cash you are willing to spend on mods but i saw a REALLY nice replica s203 spoiler you may be intrested in... i like it much better than the sti one so i thought you might also. just a heads up so you dont find it later and like it better.

I think the STi wing shows off how a subies suspension rides in a very nice way.

Just my personally preference. besides I like it looking OEM'ish.

ya i didnt think of that... the sti is a nice piece though... make sure you get it down tight.. i no lots of ppl whos spoilers rattle at high speeds... may want to invest in a stiffi. as long as you do a proper instal job you shouldnt have to worry though.

Ebay it or google it. Im having a hard time finding a good shift knob for under $30 but this looks like one.

ya most ppl get 2 or 5 but power to the oddball that monster ball is a little to flashy for my taste but if you like it... im sure u can find one in auto zone or something if u look long enough

Im going with a black Agency Power knob.

Also do you think I shoudl do gloss black paint on my wheels or bronzeish gold?

Totally murdered out in black would be teh sex i think.

*Also 3 Stiffies would make for a total of 5 fins with the standard edge ones that hold the top part of the wing. I also like the fact of having a centered stiffi. Im have a major OCD issue >.<
