    Follow the lead to the harness clip and insert the resistor into the "female" portion of the clip. This tends to avoid future moisture issues etc.

    I put electrical tape over the resister to keep it from wiggling out. Then I put a plastic sandwich bag over the whole plug and taped it up to prevent water from making it's way in there.
