about to buy.... need help

so I am looking to buy an rx7... just as a fun to f around in so i dont f-up my 04wrx.
I found a 1981 rx7 runs guy wanted $900 I offered $700 he said if I had cash he would go for it. so... do I buy it?

1981 MAZDA RX7 5 speed, removable sunroof, AC, new tires, this car is a good dependable driver.

190miles, has 2 1988 rx7's that he is working on right now... I think he dose all his own work.
I am going to look at it later tonight. what kind of things should i ask and look for?

how many miles? how many owners? any accidents? all maintenance records? any modifications?

When looking at old cars for me the priority is no rust and no structural damage. You need to look at it carefully, crawl around everywhere, and read up on where the problem spots are first. I'd look at an rx7 forum for info.

from my friends experience, make sure you know wankels or know someone that does they seem to require more maintenance than some other cars. *caughsubarucaugh*
