    warranty

Im planning to buy a 09 wrx at the end of this week and have been doing alot of research on the web. Ive read up that its better to buy a warranty outside the dealership since they tend to overcharge. I just wanted to get some input from people that actually bought and drives subarus. Did you guys get your warranty from the dealership?

Get the Subaru warranty. Aftermarket ones are a huge hassle.

You can buy the Subaru of America "extended warranty" from any Subaru dealership. Keep in mind that an extended warranty is not a warranty, it is really a service agreement covering specific parts during a specific period for a price that is to some extent negotiable.

You do not need to buy it at the time of vehicle purchase; you can wait, typically until the true manufacturer's bumper-to-bumper coverage expires. This means you can shop around for the best price. It also means though that if you are financing, you lose the ability to include the cost of the extended plan into the original loan amount.
