    Fml

FML I can honestly say I have the worst luck I have had my WRX for 2 weeks and sure enough I am in Bumber to bumper Traffic and the guy behind me hits me at like 5 - 10 miles an hour. He wasn't paying attention which I don't care about but it was his fault which is all that matters.

I guess what I am asking is from what I can tell is that it is purely cosmetic all the seams still line up perfectly and the car drives fine it is not pulling or drifting one way or another, Braking is fine and the exhaust is fine. from the way it looks is I need a new plastic bumper.

Anything I should be looking for besides Structural Damage which I don't see.

IDK I have never been through this before.

    Thanks

either way, his insurance will have to inspect your car and they will tell you what you need, as well as the cost of everything. (assuming you reported it??)

White foam. It's actually visible above the license plate (a touch of class by Subaru...).

As far as I can tell it's a "world" bumper designed for the more elongated, thinner plates used elsewhere. If that's the case it's possible such a plate plus a bracket would conceal the foam. At one point I was looking for something like a piece of rubber or plastic to cover the foam. Then life got in the way.

I actually considered coloring it with black marker when I first noticed it.

I at one point considered the carbon fiber license place surround because it covers it. I decided it wasn't worth the rice factor.

If you have a surround that covers it while not covering the tags or state name on your plate, you could mellow out the looks with some fine grit sandpaper followed by a coat of spray paint I suppose. At that point though you're spending money etc. so that may not be worth the cost and hassle. I got used to ignoring my foam and that's that. I'll look for it if I buy a new Impreza though, and tell them it's silly.

That isn't too bad. At least the guy had insurance. I know a few people that have been hit here in El Paso and the driver of the other didn't have insurance. Gotta love those drivers comming over from Juarez. I have on average 2 close calls a day with people with Mexico plates.
