    Read the link but not really quite grasping it, can you give me a simple explaination between the short block and the long block? im reading all these engine failures of the WRX and people are asking for long blocks with turbo. Whats the difference?

    Shortblock = bare block, pistons, bearings, rods, cankshaft.

    Longblock = Complete Shortblock + Complete Heads w/ cams and valvetrain
