    How's it going?

    Hello!

I am currently looking into WRX's (base) and wanted some feedback on well these cars run (performance, handling, and reliability). I am looking at 2002-2003 models since my budget is at at a $10k mark. Plan on using this as a DD and offroad driving on the weekends.

Let me know what to look out for when test driving them and how to maintain them properly.

    Peace out!

Find a bone stock one owner WRX for under 10k and you're set.
Also read all the stickies to answer your questions and don't be afraid to use the search button.

Welcome to a potential bugeye owner! Car looks real clean.

Please replace those tail lights with a set of stock 02-03 ones though.

Car has a few obvious mods, Tail lights, window tint, shifter knob, and wingless trunk. From the tail lights I bet the PO was younger, So definitely make sure it has a clean record and have a mechanic outside the dealer check it out.
You don't want to buy someone else problem, make sure it is the car you want before buying.

I doubt the PO was that young...

The car is in MINT condition and has stock exhaust, etc..

either way, do take a mechanic with you.

The left taillight looks like it has condensation on the inside...
bring that up when you go see the car (if its visible)

You can definitely bring the price down a bit.....but anyways, the car looks real nice.

Having the stock exhaust on may just mean the PO sold the aftermarket parts before trading it in.
Like my WRX, appeared stock when I bought it but later found out that is was pretty heavily modded.

Noted for when I go test drive it. Do I have to give the dealer any collateral for when I take the car to an independent shop? I have a reputable shop that I go to but it is about 30 miles out of the way.
