performance parts hands down. I think most everyone on here will agree with me. I love my exhaust so much i would rather roll down the windows and listen to it while i drive than even have music playing

for performance mods id go in this order

-Cobb AP-stage 1 ( using cobb map or custom one)
-Turbo back exhaust combined with Stage 2 map
-bigger TMIC or get a FMIC and a CAI and then get a custom tune
    -better brakes
    -suspension upgrade

    but thats just me.

    post some pictures

    first things first..

    1- Save your money.

    2- Read & Research

3- Repeat step 2 until your eyes fall out

4- Learn how to drive better and enjoy how fast the stock 09 wrx is already

5- Then if you decide to continue with modifying your car Make a goal for yourself on what you want your car to be ( daily driver, drag race, etc..)

    6- Mod away

    7- post new pictures

i would go with a similar list but not the same.
    -Turbo back exhaust first
-bigger TMIC, not a FMIC in my opinion. Cost too much and unless your going with a bigger turbo your likely to lose power
    - Pro Tune
    -Brakes
    -Suspension

    I forget I have a radio sometimes

I like the "learn how to drive it better and enjoy it first" response. You can put anyone in an F1 and they can gun it, but it takes practice to learn how to use it.

I wouldn't waste any money on inter coolers at all until you actually need it, front or top. Just my opinion. The stock is cooling the turbo just fine.

As mentioned a Cobb Tuner or any other form of engine management. Cobb is just the easiest and probably most popular. you can squeeze quite a bit of power out of it right there. If you decide that you want more then Turbo back exhaust will help pull some more as well.

But with any modification you will need a Pro Tune so make sure you know where a Tuner is before you start tearing things apart and slapping things together.

There is no need for a turbo timer. It will not do you any good.

I don't see a huge need for brakes, maybe some more aggressive pads if you feel the need. And personally I would only change the suspension if you have a reason.

It's your car, Enjoy it for all it's stock glory then change it to fit you.

    Welcome to the club!
    Carpe Diem!

    +7 (1 for each recommendation)

I have an 09 STI - 1.7K miles - barely broken in - you have no idea what you should do with the car until you break it in and get comfortable with your target driving scenario (daily, autoX,rally) - trust me, that wrex is going to feel a whole lot different in at 3K miles than it does now....I say go with the sound system and listen to some podcasts regarding this topic :P
