    trac control?

hi everyone! just got a 08 wrx 4-door today!

I notice a button on the bottom left that has a traction type image with a line through it and the letters "off"

When i push the button that same image comes up on the dash with the guages.

What the heck is it? I looked in the book but after reading it like 10 times it didnt make sense. Is it trac control? If i push the button does it turn it off? Will the rear of the car slide out more/ drift?

    help!

Yes it is traction control. It should make it easier to slip with it off

I think that has to do with turning "Hill Assist" off...

    ok.

Now when i push this button, an the little yellow thingy displays, showing that the trac control is off, does it do anything in terms of boost? Does the trac control cut boost at all? to limit power and provide more grip? Will the car be "faster" with it off?
