    Is the flat 4 suppose to do this?

    new owner of a 05 wrx sti,..love it alot, but does this motor run with some back fire sounds or is it something else?...hear this when shifting over 3g's..

    what are your mods?

    if youre fully catless & have some sort of aftermarket BOV you are probably running rich & backfiring.

    i have the same problem and i do have a aftermarket bov what can i do the check engen lite went on and it said i needed an o2 senser so i replaced it and its still doin the same thing

    You probably need a tune and are running with no cats?

    Was it PO420?
