    Owner of an 07 WRX!

Just picked up this beautiful car today.

    ImageShack
    ImageShack

I got amazingly lucky on it - here is the story.

I have had a 2000 Toyota Celica GT since 2002 and have been driving it around daily since then. I recently got into a fairly bad accident in it and it was totalled.

So, $6300 check in hand, I went hunting for a new vehicle. I spent weeks and weeks shopping around, going backwards and forwards between all kinds of things (G35, Volvo C30, Mazda Speed3 and many others). I'd come across a couple of WRXs along the way but they were passed by for a variety of reasons (too high mileage, horrible color, year I didn't like, whatever.)

I was very, very close to just buying an '09 Impreza 2.5i (due to wife input) but was really unhappy with it when I came across this beautiful 07 WRX.

Unfortunately (for him) but fortunately (for me) this car was owned by an old gentleman who had been given it as a retirement gift. He drove it for 900 miles and promptly died.

It then sat in his garage for ~2 years before it was dumped at a local dealer where I happened to find it sitting at ~1800 miles (someone at the dealer had some fun in it.)

Got it for a steal, drove it home today... by far the best car I have ever owned. I love it.

    So there's my story!

Ending up paying 19k before tax. I figured it was a pretty good deal considering the car is basically brand new.

Yeah, now the embarassing part is, I've been driving an automatic for the last 6-7 years so I'm having to get back into driving manual :| Yes, I'm that guy stalling the new WRX at the stop light. It's all coming back to me fairly quickly thankfully
