    first subaru

So I bought my first subaru about a week ago, 2005 STI. It's got a lot of modifications on it already. I haven't gone over everything yet cuz I'm new to them and am still waiting for my experienced friend to come and give me the down and dirty... What I know it has so far is an APS SR/57 turbo, invidia catted turbo back exhaust, perrin front mount intercooler, a forge blowoff valve and wastegate, don't know the intake, and a cobb turbo heatshield, some suspension stuff too but not a lot.... yah that's basically it. I'm pretty sure the long block is all stock. The former owner had a meth injection kit but that got taken with the stereo system before the car was repo'd. I got the computer re-flashed with an old map using my new cobb accessport and it's making between 20-25psi of boost when I get on it, I was told that might be too much. I need to get it on a dyno and have it retuned. I'm pretty sure it's got over 400whp but not sure what the actual figure is. I'll let you all know when I get the bugs worked out. any advice for a first time owner? turbo timer???? maintenance, or just some key stuff to buy for all around performance.
    Thanks for reading my story.

    Welcome to the club.

I would definitely recommend you get it to a shop with people who know what the heck they are doing with WRXs for a tune and some advice/low down on your specific car.

That's an awesome turbo... Sounds like it's probably a great setup, but I fully agree... Get it checked out ASAP!

My friend... first and foremost welcome to the club!

2ndly... you are "Thread Jacking" right now... meaning, you are starting a new topic in someone elses thread. Try starting your own thread, and even before that check out this link:
