I am new here, shoping for a WRX

Hello, I am new to the Subaru stuff, and am currently shopping for a WRX. I consider myself a car guy, have a 69 Austin Healey I am restoring and have built a Tuner Civic before. I am going to test drive an 06 WRX tomorrow morning and doing the math to see how feasible the purchase is. I do have a quick question, what cat-back exhaust should I go with. I want to do one that helps with flow, but is NOT loud. I do not want to do the "angry bumble bee" thing again like I had with my Honda . Any who, thanks in advance.

I did not see this. I always liked Healeys but I don't have enough character to own one, much less restore one. Good for you!

The catback won't generate a bumble bee sound because the exhaust primaries are not equal length, so the motor put-puts or rumbles unlike an inline four. That said, I like the sound of Stromung and the Subaru STi units but they're both costly unless bought used. Listen around at meets to get an idea what you'll like.

The drive went well. I really like the car and I am working on making the payments make sense to me. I have a jeep wrangler and they are effing me on the trade-in. So I am still working on that too. I appreciate the exhaust info and will post pics of my wrx when I get it (even if it isn't this one)

    Thanks!
