    Unless you're running meth on your vehicle, you will probably not reach the limitation of the OEM BPV with the VF39 (judging by your username, I'm guessing you have an '06 STi). With that said, if you want a BOV, get one (just pick a good valve and ensure it's setup properly, like Tial). Is it necessary? No.

    what about the aps high volume twin vent bov. if im right it recirculates under light loads such as cruising and regualar driving. but if you really want it to vent to atmosphere it can?

    If it's stuck open, it would be venting air out constantly, meaning it would be rich.

    If it possibly gets stuck open and sucks in un metered air, you will run lean. My friend has a BOV on his 06 sti and it was leaking, so his car was running really rough.

    Im just speaking from experience because i used to have a bov on my car. Its not going to destroy his car or anything, but you will definitely feel the difference in a atmospheric bov. Also, your car will feel more laggy during shifts while building up boost again.

    Oh ok sorry, i forgot that the recirculating hose was capped off.

    thanks for all the info guys im new to the wrx came from a bunch of fwd cars haha never will go back so anything else you can tell me about the cars would be great
