You can't get voided, but even a muffler can cause your claim to be denied.

They can deny your claim based on the performance part (in brfatal's case, a muffler) caused extra wear on the part that is experiencing the failure

Meaning if you have exhaust and the dealership wants to be anal they can say that because you have exhaust you must hot rod around and that abuse is what broke the gears.

if you planned on doing mods, i wouldnt have even bothered buying the extended warranty. seems kind of pointless.

    ^^^^^

Sort of supports my position that extended warranties are a waste of money for 99% of people.

My extended warranty paid for itself near twice over, and I was pretty nicely modded. We used to have a performance oriented dealership here (it has sense gone to hell).

Well first off ask your dealer. I asked mine and they where hella harsh. nothing more then a catback at that dealer. But then I have herd of dealers being cool with stg 2 cars.

But like me when I started to mod which was about 2 years after I got mine, I went back and asked to be refunded on my extended warranty. Payed like 999 for it and got back like 560. But in my case I never used it so was a waste of my money.
