Stage two looking for advise before protune

Hello, I'm new to the forum but have owed an 06 WRX for three years now. I currently have a cobb TBE with AP. I am looking to have a protune, but before I do I have a question or two.

Before I get the tune I was thinking about getting a larger TMI and a intake. Now I know that the intercooler will mostly deal with heatsoak and that the intake is not really needed for our cars.. On the other hand will having these in place gain me a little more when it comes to the tune or should I just put these off until I get a turbo upgrade? I was thinking I could just put these parts on now and get a tune for a little gain now and then put a bigger turbo on later and have a tune for that.

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

Well i got protuned when i was stage two and the only advice i would give is to wait till you do a turbo upgrade to get tuned

Go for it. With a larger TMIC you'll be stage 3 and have potentially less heatsoak. An intake will get you some power as well.

    I couldn't disagree more.

Depends on the tuner package definition you use. TXS is the rule of thumb and stage 3 is stage 2 with a larger TMIC.

TXS was the 1st to successfully market stage packages for WRXs.

Ok i stand corrected. I just hear everyone refer to cobbs staged packages. As far as a tune for stage 2 you may realize more gains than me, since i am in the same state and same elevation as cobb so the ots map may have been tailored to our altitude a little better.
