Maintenance and extended warranty worth it?

Just got back from the dealership. They seemed a bit disappointed that I wasn't ready to close the deal quite yet.

I've searched the forums and it seems that the general consensus is that the maintenance is a rip-off, but what about the extended warranty? Anyone think either of these is worth the money?

I'll post back after I buy the car. No need to welcome me quite yet. :P

It couldn't hurt to get it. I had mine till 60k and ever time I had an issue with it I took it in and got it fixed at no cost. Just read up on what mods will void it. Good luck on the buy.

My extended warranty paid for itself and then some despite my mods.

Under my warranty extention I had my center diff, steering rack, 2 front struts, and transmission housing replaced.

Sounds to me like you just had a crap car that ended up breaking a lot. I've to 65k on mine and it has yet to have ANY issues at all; in my case it would have been a complete waste of money. Fluid changes and replacing wear-items is all I've ever had to do to it so far. Also, ~50k of those 65k have been running Protuned Stage 2.
