Exclamation i need opinion on new car!

yeah so i bought a 96 bmw 328is about 2 years ago hopin to due something with it.im 19 and ever siince i can remember ive loved bmws. i bought this car hoping to save up some money and do many mods but im guessing you all know how expensive these cars are and parts for it so why bother right.well thats what ive been thinkning.then i lost my job so the car went from alright to bad.now i just need a couple grands to get a car i was thinkin a wrx i work full time at home depot and make pretty good money and get paid enough to get a car.soon ill have enough for down payment but i wanted to know from opinion and experience which wrx you think would be better. honestly i like all of them i think even the most plain ones have so much potential.i just wanted to know which you think would be better price wise as well as performance and performance capabilities.let me know cause im getting around that time and the money is there.

you want the newest year you can afford. i would try to find a used 06/07 for the 2.5L. the down fall to wrx's are the tranny's so if you can afford an STi get one. you want one that was pretty much stockand well mainteined, or one that was well mainteined and modified right with tunes etc.

yeah i was thinkin about new year i can afford.the most i wanna spend on a car i can finance is 15 the most.i did hear bout the wrx tranny.but are all years like that or just some years?or different models?i would most likely get stock well maintained but if i could find one thats well moded for the right price then that be even better.but right now im leaning towards stock and mint.i was also considering a vw gli or an integra gsr for now whatever i can find a better deal on

I don't think the tran is a problem... Its how you drive it that makes the tranny a problem.... if your nice to it.. it will be nice back... Look for an 03 or 04 with low miles.. Don't buy the first one you see. The one good thing about a suby is they hold their value better then any car on the market...

yes that is true but the tranny's are weak and he talked about doing mods to the car so i was just stating the tranny's are weak.

the newer the wrx the better it gets. so the newer you buy the better the car is going to be. 02-03 do have the weakest tranny's just to let you know.

i just bought the 08 wrx about a month ago and wish i would have waited. the new 09's are bad ass. Have you thought about using the BMW as a down payment as well as putting money down on the car. My payment is 405 a month. the new 09 WRX with the performance package, you can't go wrong. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it is pushing 260 - 270hp with a catback system on it already and SPT (subaru performance tuned). They have one fully loaded here for 32,000. so you maybe should take that into consideration as well.

That's a lot more than the 15k he is looking to spend. I don't think a trade in with his '96 BMW will help put that much of a dent into the payment, although I do not deny that the '09 is a monster.

OP, you should be able to find an '06 for about the amount you are looking to spend depending on mileage. Transmission aside, the 2.5 L in the '06+ is pretty good incentive to go for it if you can afford it. But obviously, get what you can afford. If you need to wait a few more months before you can get what is right, then so be it.

he said max he can finance is 15 grand, 32 might be al il too much lol.

but anyways, subaru trans will be nice as long as ur nice to it, and if i was in your position i would look for a stock one,

and a gli , wrx, and a integra are alll completely different cars.

u can find a gsr for under 10 grand very easily, and thats probably ur most realiable bet, a gli i know are not that quick stock, and are not too realiable, along with the maintenance being expensive. a wrx is amazing in snow, is quicker than both of them, has more aftermarket support than the GLI, and sounds badassssssss
