I purchased a 2008 WRX at Steve Moyer Subaru in Leesport, PA. It was a premium, blue and a dealer trade (I still believe the other dealer sent me a bum car). After getting the car home I looked at it more closely and noticed little marks all over the car. This whole story is quite long but I'll try to condense it. We'll back to the dealership I go. They think it's acid rain damage and say they'll repaint the problem areas. So I go this route and they do a good job, but having my new car painted just felt wrong. Well low and behold more spots show up. Back I go again, plus my cd player wouldn't accept cd's.
Well this goes on for awhile and then I had a enough. So I call Steve Moyer and ask for a sit down talk with him. At this point I have had it with the only Subaru I have ever owned.
My faith in his dealership and for the most part my faith in Subaru has been restored. Mr. Moyer offered me a straight up trade for another 2008 WRX. He apologized and personally called me threw out the process to keep me informed of what was going on. I knew the 2009 WRX's were on their way (with their many improvements) and asked if I could get one of those. I also would like to ad that I got smacked in my rear bumper by a kid who wasn't paying attention about a week two weeks before this so the car now had a CarFax report. So the dealership couldn't sell it as undamaged.
He said yes, but that I would have to pick up the difference in cost and taxes. I deicide to go for it.
I have been buying cars for many years now and have had good and bad experiences. This one started out pretty bad but ended on very high note. Thanks in part to Mr. Moyer and his employees at his dealership.
The 2009 WRX is vastly better than the 2008. I was blessed to get one and understand how the people with the 2008 version can be upset with Subaru.
