    New guy, New to Subaru

I just bought an 04 STI. It's pretty much stock other than stereo work. I don't know much about this stuff yet. I've been reading a bit and plan to start tinkering with it in the summer.

So far I do have one question. Is it normal for the temperature to creep up and down as I'm driving? I've never had a car like this before and never noticed it in another vehicle.

    Thanks in advance.

    Thanks. I love the car.

I checked all the fluids and everything is good. When steady it stays between the 2nd and 3rd line up. When it creeps it will go about midway between the 3rd line and the top shaded part and then drift back down. It's not over heating but it just seemed odd. I was thinking maybe the thermostat? but wasn't sure.

def a possibility of the thermostat. there are no fluid leaks correct? is it during extended periods of boosting?

I wasn't able to find any leaks and haven't seen a drop in levels the last few days. It doesn't seem to matter. I was driving today with no boost at a steady speed for a while and it was creeping up and down.
