    not exactly a new member

ive been on here for a lil while here and there asking a few questions about wrxs cause i was in the market for one, and well today i finally got the privillage of buying one so i just wanted to say i look forward to getting to know you guys as well as the wrx.

ok so its an 02(bug eyes=win) its red which suprisingly i liked alot in person, drove it it drove nice.

its all stock which is hard to find aorund where i live, a girl owned it(a hot one at that) and it has a factory boost gauge on the steering wheel and an sti shift knob. i will post pictures when i have it in my possesion(have to wait till monday or tuesday till i get in insured and registered)

and my question is....how the hell do i read the boostgauge? its not in p.s.i's so idk how to read it lol

I don't know how long you should be on the site before you say welcome, But I'll say it anyway!

I have an 2008 WRX and it doesn't have a boost gage. I think it is pretty cool that they are using MPas though. That might sound a bit dorky, but I am a mechanical engineer and spent 4 years of my like working in Pa and MPa! its good to finally see it being used in the real world!

enough rambling though, Good luck with the car and pictures please~

    Gotta read carefully lol.

    "Summary:
Use a GF4/SM oil if you have a 2006 or later Subaru
change your oil at 3750 miles
    use synthetic if you want

List of GF-4 (or SM) approved oils:
    Castrol Syntec 5w30
    Redline Synthetic 5w30
    Pennzoil Platinum 5w30
    Mobil1 (classic, non-supersyn) 5w30

What is NOT GF-4 (or SM) approved?
    -Royal Purple
    -Motul
    -Mobil1 SuperSyn"

yeah, i cant get over the color its sooo awesome, and no one has a red wrx let alone a red bug eye around here, so yeah.

no to get used to it(i drove a 90 escort for the past 10 months and this wrx is intesne compared to that) and save up some money then get mods!
