    Red face Depressed Newbie

After living in Florida for 12 years we are now in Boston. We have to transition from front wheel drives.
I was loving my Corolla XRS but I yearned for more ponies...
I was reading about the 08 WRX for a year... drooling!
My wife got an Outback... while I was sitting there I fell in love with the WRX... I couldn't leave with out it

I love it to death, I drive 120mi rt eveery day... the only way I can tolerate it is because of my WRX! It has been a MAJOR difference in driving experience in the rain. I can't wait to try it in the snow.

However, today I read about the 2009 WRX... need I say more
I am looking on the bright side... more and better mods to out do the 09!

I'll be heading north myself as soon as I get my 2 year degree, and find a good University.

Welcome. Don't worry, much of the major "guts" are the same so once you get the typical mods on your '08 you will be right back there with the '09.

Corolla XRS eh? I tried to talk my wife into one of those when we bought her S, but she didn't want the manual trans. Shame, they are fun cars.

    +1

If anything, Subaru just showed us what our cars are capable of. On the same transmission that we have on our cars, they felt comfortable adding a different turbo (which is till TBD), a more agressive tune and larger pipes (stage 2 basically). The '08 isn't exactly the bastard child everyone is making it out to be. Why be upset at a company for listening to its customers?

That being said, I'm more jealous of the suspension set up on the '09 than I am about the power jump.
