    Sigma immobiliser reprogramming confused:

    Sigma immobiliser reprogramming

hi, just thought id say that this is an excellent site, just what a new wrx owner needs

ive just bought my first impreza, an 02 wrx, but it only has one key and keyfob.
ive bought another key off ebay, reaby to be cut and ive come accross another keyfob too

    1st question.
is there a chip in the key which has to be programmed or can i just get the key cut, becuase the keyfob controls the openning and immobiliser

    2nd question.
the original keyfob is a sigma ac38
the one ive come accros has - MPT 1340 WT LICENCE EXEMPT written on the back. is this compatible with the original fob, if so how can i programme it, i do not have the pin number.

any support would be greatfully recieved

    thanks lee

    No idea... welcome though.

My 2007 requires the chip inside the key to be programmed - not sure what the older models need.
