New to forums, and I am addicted to my STi!

    Hi everyone,

I bought an 2005 STi with 31k miles at a forfeited vehicle auction on May 30 for 18k. It is in perfect condition, though the back of the vehicle has been repainted (accident? carfax came back fine but I do not believe it is always accurate). The previous owner slapped on window tints on the driver side and the front passenger side (what the hell?) and I did not even realize until the vehicle inspection was failed for that reason! It is really hard to tell that the windows were tinted. Well thats New Jersey laws for ya.

Well anyways, I am in LOVE and I am ADDICTED to my car and I am so happy I made a good decision to buy one. I was not really fully aware of the car ( I was not really too into cars until now lol) until I went to the New York International Auto Show in April and I was doing research.

I honestly could not be happier with a Ferrari or a Porsche even if I was given one. I found this forum a few days ago and was browsing the threads and this place is very helpful and useful =).

ok, so I just checked out the FAQ support thread and the good first mods thread. What would be a good route to take if I wanted to mod my car? I know there is no specific order really of stock parts that should be replaced first but what would be the order that you would take to replace these parts?

    1. tactrix cable - flash to stage 1
    2. turboback exhaust - flash to stage 2

Brakes and Suspension are smart and safe upgrades - I recommend focusing on those areas first.

After stage 2, consider a larger turbo. Plenty to choose from.

Oh and if you're not far from Lakewood, NJ - check out precision tuning. They've installed every mod on my car, and their tuner John did a great job tuning it.
