    somethings not right.

    1) its a 2.5i (no hooscoop, 2.5i wheels)
    2) theres no STi drivetrain (wouldnt the owner switch over the tranny/axels/wheels would be atleast the STi bolt pattern? how is a 2.5 platform going to handle that power?)
    2) theres no front mount intercooler (and if theres no FMIC, i'd assume theres a TMIC, but theres not even a hood scoop for ventilation)

    welcome though...

14.9 is inline with what a 2.5i would cost, stock.

I agree, this looks like a 2.5i with STi badges and a wing.

Not to mention the "fellow wrx'ers" statement in the opening line.

by buying one. i would never want to swap everything into a n/a 07 impreza. at $15k that you paid, an 07 wrx used is going to cost less than putting everything in it you need isnt it

    +1 and then another.

I'l refrain from my rant about dressing a car to "pose" as one it's not. The spoiler and all is one thing.... but all the badging???? To each their own though.

Congrats on the buy though man, enjoy the car!

I don't really understand the idea of making a car look like an STi without having the engine behind it.

To make it a wrx engine, you'll have to put a turbo kit on it, and have it tuned. Might run you another 7-8 grand before the end of it. Unless you plan on doing all the labor yourself.

If you're going through that much trouble, I'd just fork out 15k and mod the crap out of it.

Turbo, exhaust, intake, intercooler, tune, springs, coils, sways. Then you might have something that comes close to an STi.
