    New 2004 WRX Wagon...questions

    Greetings,

I am new to the forum and new to Subaru's.

I just purchased a nice 2004 Wagon in Alpine White.

I have been wanting a WRX since they first came out!

The cars interior is a 9.5 and the exterior is about a 9. It has 68K on it. I paid $13,700 for it which I beleive was a fair price for the great condition it is in.

I did noticed that the ront lower valance is loose. There seem to be a lot if plastic fasteners that hold all the front end plastic pieces together. some of them appear to be missing and thus the pannel is somewhat loose on the ends of the lower portion of the front bumper.

I was wondering if anyone else has this issue? Is it a common Impreza trait? Do most people fix these little buggers or just live with it?

I am planning on a K&N air and oil filter as the only mods, I guess when you are 40 and finally getting your dream car you dont want to change it.

Also I would love some advice on:
    1. Best Interior Cleaner's/protectant for the dash and doors and the stering wheel
    2. Best Wax to use on the paint
    3. Best replacement sprk plugs
    4. If anyone lives in an area with snow and salt on the roads, how do you keep the rust away?

    Thanks gang!

    Cheers,

    Mr. V.

I stop about 20 min from home at a touchless car wash once/week. The 20 min drive home ensures that my car is fully dry by the time I get home (I don't have a garage to park in).

Has rust been an issue with these cars? I have lots of friends with Outbacks and I can't find a spec of rust.

My car has quite a few rusty spots - then again, I romp around on dirt/gravel roads quite often, and stuff is dinging the paint a bit
