    Newbie Here !!!

Hi guys! I'm new to the forum.

I own a 2002 WRX Prodrive Sportswagen developing 249 HP. Pictures to follow soon!

I am looking at getting either a 2007 STI or the new 2008 STI which I'm going for a test drive next month. Does anyone here own a 2008 STI and is it "softer" than the previous models?

    Welcome to the club.

    I Don't own an 08 but...
My understanding is that the 08 "feels" more comfortable but actually handles better.

    Thanks TheJ for the welcome.

I've heard that they are a bit "softer" which probably means more comfortable as you say. We have just recieved the 08 Hatch STI's over here in South Africa and I have a chance to find out how good the new car is next month. If it doesnt suit my taste there is always a demo 07 STI which is a cracking car!

Hi Oak1ey and thanks for the warm welcome.

I drove the new WRX but it did not excite me at all. Just waiting for a chance to try the STI next month which I hope is as good as if not better than the outgoing model.

My 2002 WRX Sportswagon has the 2.0 liter turbo motor and a factory fitted Prodrive conversion that pushes power up to 249 BHP. Mods include intake, exhaust and engine management system. In the near future I want to increase boost, fit bigger turbo, redo fuel system, fit short shifter to improve gear changes etc etc. I really would like to get to the 300 BHP mark like yours produces. I'll get there sooner rather than later!

There are some cracking Scoobys in your gallery and some really awesome ones that other forumers own. Makes me want to run out and try and improve mine. I intend keeping my 2002 Wagon for life as it has provided me with great pleasure so far.

Have to work near my big boss and as I am due a payrise next month, don't really want to be caught writing loads on a thread. If I had any sense I would move desks but thats not possible though.

So everytime I have someone behind me I have to end my post pretty sharpish.

And it increases my posts on the forum
