    The question is: would a spam magnet thread make it easier to locate spam that would be on the forum anyway, or does it actually add to the total amount of spam?

    its a good idea in theory, but what if instead it draws the spammers to your thread as intended... but then they see the bride thread and are drawn to it too. Then maybe they'll call all their spammer friends and soon it'll be a canned-meat frenzy.
