STI without foglights..lame? Add later?

I'm looking at buying a base-level (no BBS package) STI. There is one that is my first choice color with no fog lights, and there is one that is my 3rd choice color with fog lights.

Does it look like it is missing part of the front end if there are no fog lights, or is it ok? Thoughts?

Also, can you add the fog light option after the fact (easily) as an "accessory" type option, or is it dealer installed?

No fog lights look fine on the STi it has HID headlights which in my opinion make up for not having fog lights, the wrx itself has fog lights because it does not have HID headlights.

ummm... most sti's come with foglight covers anyway so you're not really missing much.

besides, they're just foglights. i dont think that should be a make or break decision when it comes to getting a car, especially since you can buy them and install later.

looks fine to me.

The 04-05 looks nice with foglights, 06-07 looks better without, 08 looks good with, IMO.

I'm pretty sure these aren't the factory 04-05 foglights. The factory one's are tiny, like the 06-07 ones.

These one's look like the ones you can get from Rally Innovations. (the big fogs)

yeah its actually a car from england.. limited edition. called the "wr1" its the only sti i could find a picture of with fogs though

That's definately sick looking!

The one's you can get from Subaru for your 04-05 sti look just like the ones on the WRX, small and puny.
To get the good "big" one's you'd have to get the JDM ones or the rally innovations ones, both are not too difficult to get.

Yes they are held in with tabs, pop in/pop out. Mind you the pic above of the 05 STi with fogs are JDM fogs, USDMs have fogs with about 2inches circumference.

Screw the fogs, no it won't look goofy, yes you can add them later, they will probably be cheaper later too.

Sweet, I should have mentioned that I was talking about 2008. I just verbally commited to one that is being transferred to my local dealer this evening (w/o fog lights and non-BBS wheels). I can't wait to drive home through the canyon!
