    Scooby nooby new

Hi all, I'm new here from the Isle of Man, UK.

It's a small Island famous for the TT motorbike racing, rallying and many other Motorsports.

I recently bought an Impreza 93 WRX (japanese import, NOT UK spec).

I also own an 83 transam T-Top with 305 Crossfire. I am turning it into KITT.

I run an American car Club over here too. Hope to get to know you all soon.

    Steven

Greetings and welcome to the club!

Great pics. - thanks for sharing. Is the Yank car scene a big deal in the UK? Where to buy parts here? There are so many online vendors - would not even know where to begin.

There is a pretty big "Yank" scene in the UK. There are some big events (2,3,4000 cars sometimes) and some good Drag racing series too.

Are the Imprezas you guys have made for the American mrket (LHD) or RHD imports?

My friend lives in the US now and drives a Saab that was built by Subaru, he calls it a Saabaru! I know that is LHD.

They are LHD. You will usually only find RHD cars in the US if they were privately imported.

How far back do the LHD cars go, have the WRX been sold in the US since the early 90's?

There are still lots of Classics in the UK.

To my knowledge (limited by my little brain) LHD cars have never been sold in the US by any major auto manufacturer in any significant quantity.

Although the Impreza has been sold in the US since the 90s, Subaru did not sell the WRX in the US until the 2002 MY.

So my car would be pretty rare in the US then.

There is a big Import market over here, so there were lots of RHD WRX's imported to the UK since early 90's.

So I have a RHD WRX, and a LHD transam! Confused....
