    New to the forum...

Hi guys, I'm obviously new here, and I'm the proud new owner of a 2006 STi.
I'm very new to this platform, but not new to AWD turbo cars. I've had a lot of DSM's in the past, which were very modified.

Anyways, I just bought it yesterday from Suburban Imports of Troy, MI. It is in absolute immaculate condition, and has 24,000 miles. I really love it so far.

But I was just wondering, what would it take to get this car into the mid 12's at 106+? Or at least to have the potential of getting mid 12's.
I would really rather not get into extensive modifications, and would like to keep in totally reliable.
I was thinking that a tune and TBE would be enough...

Welcome to get that trap speed Start with turbo back exhaust and a protune, that should get you pretty darn close.

Yup, Port Huron... I hate it here. I used to live in Waterford before leaving for the military.

Anyways, I would love to find out if there are any meets in the local area.

that will work fine, a protune after that will smooth out the powerband even farther.

Well, about once a month I head out to the Howell area, which isn't too far from you... a lot closer than Port Huron is.

Anyways, that would be great... I would love to start having monthly meets one day.

Not sure. I just bought my STi, so I haven't had the chance to ask around. I doubt people meet in Howell, but we could always start one. It doesn't have to be Howell, it can be anywhere. Hell, I'll start one in Port Hellhole- er, I mean Port Huron. Maybe even Utica, or Waterford... who knows. I just know I'd like to meet up with fellow WRX/STi owners once in a while.

I would go with a TBE and a pro tune. Some extra's that would be really nice to have before the tune would be a BCS and some sort of big intercooler.
