well i just got in a wreck in my cobalt SS/SC i loved that car but i dunno if its totaled yet so i was just car shopping to keep me busy and i ran across a 04 STI for 18k...it had 60k miles and it looks in great shape...
i wanna know the negatives and postitives of this car.....
its either one of these srt-4 or another cobalt SS/SC

Pros
Stunning acceleration, slightly more forgiving ride than Mitsubishi Evolution, high-quality cabin trim.
Cons
Handling not quite as sharp as Evolution's, vague gearshifter, audio system is a pricey option.

werd. 'only' 60k miles on it. and itll run like a champ right before the engine blows up, too.
seriously, dont buy a used performance car. youre buying someone elses abuse, and itll piss you off when you have to fix it. its just different if the car is yours from the start, and you break ish.

STI-Pros: Acceleration, stopping, turning.
Honestly the choice is yours. Don't trust anyone here.
How did you wreck the car?
Why would you want a sti if you couldnt handle the power of the ss? (assuming this was the case)

i was going about 45 mph and some idiot pulled out in front from a side street cause he didnt look to see if i was coming so i slam on the brakes and i hit him in the door at about 35mph (taking guess)

He's asking a Subaru forum if he should buy a Subaru. It seems to me that the replies are going to be a bit biased.
there are lots of non subie drivers here, the WRX is a cult car and past owners love them so much they still hang around and shoot the **** about them.
also we have people who buy and sell used cars as their job here, plenty of objectivity.
there is of course some Bias but we care love our cars, and for most of us not the first or last car we will ever own.
