Question curious on what to buy?

Hey guys im new to this sight but not new to cars. Im a marine stationed in iraq right now with alot of spare time on my hands and some money. I just recently bought a 2004 subaru impreza wrx and ive studied a little about them but not to much. I have always wanted one but never new a whole lot about them. I was thinking about getting a 2.5 liter shortblock and an STI tubo to go with it and mount my 2.0 liter head on it. I was curious to know if this was a good or bad idea and what i kind of fuel injectors and tranny upgrades im gonna need to go along with the swap.

Thank you for your service to country.

Personally I would just by an STi to begin with, instead of trying to make one. That said, please explore the engine modification forum here and the links in my signature. We have several good "build" threads that may be helpful too.

    Good luck.
