Thanks man, I had a question. What all would i need to get the saab turbo'd? I know i need STI or WRX manifold, turbo, charge pipes, intercooler, oil lines, injectors, down pipe, and tuning. Can you link me some parts for fairly cheap. Thanks in advance.

Welcome. I could be mistaken but I believe saab offers a turbo model? You're better off springing for the already turbo model. The engine is built for it and its a better platform to mod on if you intend to do so.

Yeah man they do have a turbo model, just its a 6 spd auto and the non turbo is a 5 speed manual, thats the reason I'm getting the N/A one, and turning it to a Saabaru haha.
    Thanks for the Welcome!

You can't get the turbo Saab with a manual transmission? That's dumb.

You might be better off putting a manual transmission in the turbo version, rather than blowing up an engine that wasn't meant to be turboed.

    No, you can,

the 9-2x came in auto and manual turbo and non turbo.

it does not have the same 2.5l as the STI.

the 9-2x AERO is a WRX not an STI
    the 9-2x linear is a 2.5rs

K then like I said. Get the turbo MT5. Just keep hunting around. One will turn up and it'll be worth it to start on a better platform. Even if you shell out more bucks off the bat.

for 16k why not just go try to pick up a used wrx? you could probably find an 04/05 with the same mileage for atleast 17-18k. maybe less

    Welcome.

You would probably have better luck with your search for info like this, on a Saab site.
