    first post...post wrx

I've been lurking for a while now thought I should maybe make a post....I had a WRB 04' sedan that I had for about 6 or 7 months. Absolutely loved it! Then I decided to get all responsible and sell it since my wife and I are expecting our first baby. Now we have one really nice family car (Honda Pilot), one car payment, and I'm driving a 89' Acura Legend. I enjoy checking clubwrx since I plan on getting another rex someday...hopefully sooner rather than later....

Welcome...man, I don't know how I'd part with my Rex. When I went to buy my '04, I told my wife how safe our child would be in an awd car during the winter....she bought it.

Excellent choice, we have a Honda Pilot also. Trouble-free, relatively good fuel use for the size and type of vehicle, very spacious, and safe. I am not entirely satisfied with the stock Goodyears though, and am looking forward to getting rid of them ASAP -- probably switching to Tripletreads.

We've kept our bugeye car but I commute in our MR2 since it gets much better mileage and requires only regular fuel. As a result I've not driven the Impreza in several weeks. Maybe this weekend I'll take it out for a spin.

It depends on how soon that is. If it's within the next year or so I would probably get another 04' or possibly a bugeye if I could find low miles. If it takes 2 or 3 years I would really like to get like an 06' STI. We'll see.

It's been harder than I thought. I miss it all the time. But the extra money we are saving each month is really nice...I keep reminding myself of that.

I'm very impressed with the Pilot so far The gas mileage is way better than I expected for the size.

    Take a spin for me!

I've gotten up to 22 mpg with 3 people plus cargo on the motorway and the motor is still quite young so I hope to see improvement.

Here's a forum, it's not as exciting as others but the Pilot folks are a different crowd than, say, the Civic Si folks in general...

We got 23 or 24 mpg on the freeway a few times with 2 adults, an 80 pound dog and a bunch of cargo. Not bad for an 8 passenger vehicle!
