That is confusing but I know here in Ga a state trooper is a member of the state patrol...

Are you asking seriously, or kidding with me? Sometimes I just can't tell.
It's a parking lot next to a McDonald's off of A7 north of Amsterdam. I had to pee.

Yep, an Opel Meriva. My wagon will feel scaldingly fast when I get back to the states. Loose, spongy shifter, no power at any rpms, no cruise....basic transportation at its best.

Sorry for the hijack. I'll have all of the nonsense removed if the OP wants me to.

Not true. There will be a point where the radar is not strong enough to return to its source. You will always go through that point before the cop gets a reading, so if you have a good detector you will have time to slow down.

cops where i live caught onto that, they keep the radar low and hit you when
your just about to past them. my buddys highway patrol he programmed my scanner im thinking about investing in a radar jammer but those are highly illegal and cops aren't that stupid.

Jamming radar is easy. All you need is a square wave generator and then you just need to find the frequency. But yeah, my Electronic knowledge of the day... Square wave will block anything at any frequency.

Subby, just be more attentive to your speed untill you grow accustomed to your new wheels, then it'll be second nature.

Have fun when you get arrested with ur square wave generator. Jammers are a big no-no and cops are goina be curious when they see some homemade device riding shotgun.

I live in Montgomery County, Maryland. There are two types (ignoring red light cameras): permenantly mounted ones and ones in vans parked near the side of the road. At night, you might see the flash behind you, but during the day you don't see a thing. The permenantly mounted ones aren't hidden, and there's a reasonable chance you'll see one in time. On my current commute, I drive by two permenant ones on the way to work, and one of my alternate routes has three. As long as I stay awake, they're not an issue, but the one in vans can be anywhere (although they're also rare). Note that in order to get the right to use these cameras, they had to agree to only use them in 35 MPH or slower zones, near schools, and you don't get points, just a fine.

I'm worried about them setting one up where I don't notice it, and then getting a series of tickets in the mail!

Why would I want to do that. This thread was started humoursly [even if I can't spell the word] and I've been entertained so far.

(I used to get a Fiat Uno to drive when I visited my parents in England - it was about six months old when I wrecked it, but that wasn't my fault, honestly.)
