New to this site wanted to say hello

As the title says im new to this site and i wanna say hi to yall. I've owned my 03 bugeye for about 5 months now and I absolutely love it. I do miss a good
burn out but the grip with awd makes up for it. ill probably get shunned for this but i didn't buy it stock i bought it with a EJ25 short block swap with stage 2 mods. I was told the swap was done and was tuned by crawford.
I live in southern cali and im looking for a place to get some track time with the car. I can only seem to find dragstrips. If anyone knows of any tracks in the area please tell me of them.
    Thanks!
    and HI

As the others have said - welcome.

This is where I would normally say links in sig for you - but it sounds like the car is decently setup already. Any idea what turbo is on it? Stock would be vf39 for the STI, but since it's a swap and tune - who knows?

Give me a couple days on the pictures, cars on jackstands with all 4 tires off
at the moment. not looking to pretty. had to get the rotors turned and decided to paint the calipers. Ran out of paint and waiting on autozone to stock up

I live in southern orange county. monterey's a little far for just a day of track time. i know of irwindale speedway but i think its more of a oval.

I don't remember the exact model but it was a VF something. What they did was mate the 03 wrx components to the Sti block so im sure its the turbo from the wrx. I have the Wrx 5 speed with wrx intake, ic, running stock exhaust at the moment. i have a invidia turbo back for it but it doesn't have a CAT so im hesitant to put it on.

Well, if it's the stock turbo - that thing should be in boost way low - like 2100rpm on the 2.5l. But the wrx stocker(Mitsubishi TD04) is not a vf series. The STI gets an IHI VF39 which is considerably larger than the WRX's turbo, but not very large as compared to what most people choose for a swap with the 2.5l.

Nice, that's one of the bigger VF's - similar to a vf22 if memory serves.

I hate to ask, but you didn't paint the pad surface right? Cause I have seen it done.
