Question Brand New WRX Owner - soooo excited

Wooohooooooo, so I finally got an 04 WRX!!!

I picked it up from a dealer at 11k out the door by leaving him my stock 93 civic on a trade. The car has 67k on it and was bought from a bank at the end of a lease term.
I think I got a pretty good deal on it, but I need to have some work on it and hopefully the previous owner didn't beat on it too badly.

I took it to a mechanic and they said I needed new CV boots, fan belts, a tune up, a new power steering hose (it's leaking fluid) and possibly new motor mounts. All 4 rims are slightly bent- the previous owner must have hit some nasty potholes.

The car drives pretty well. I noticed just a tad bit of wheel shake around 70mph... didn't know if it was just the car or the bent rims.
The car already has a greddy BOV and an injen intake.

Of those repairs, what do you guys think I need to do first?
oh and it sounds like i should be using Mobil1 10w30, correct?
also sounds like turbo timers on a wrx are a waste... really?

Thanks for the answers and I can't wait to start reading these forums all day at work!

yea ditch the BOV like yesterday..

and yes again, turbo timer is unnecessary.

The shake could be a lot of things, try and figure it out

There are many threads about BOVs - do a bit of searching on here, and your next thread will be asking for someones OEM BPV

Turbos are oil/water cooled - as long as you're not WOT all the way home, you shouldn't have an issue. Take it easy the last mile or two on your way home, and you shouldn't have an issue.

    Enjoy the car

Sounds like somebody beat the hell out of the car

I seek a factory BVP in exchange for your BOV. Also try to locate a stock air intake box. Get the car off the bent rims. Nasioc.com has the best private for sale adds. There is no greater for finding used parts online. I would be weary about changing all the CV boots. I have only needed to change one and that was only because my downpipe cooked one. At first I thought the same thing bad power stearing line. But it turned out to be the CV boot split. Get under the car your self and see if you can figure it out.

Welcome to the Club! I am concerned that that car has not been treated well. There are a lot of great people here with a lot of great knowledge about these cars. If you have any problems or questions be sure to post up.

Here's a pic of the rims, it's pretty far away but you can see where it's bent.

When I look at the engine bay... I feel like something is missing. I also noticed something looks like it might be cracking...

also, i just threw a code P0420. I started a new topic for that
Thrown code - dealer mistake or just a coincidence?

    bent rim

bad pic i know... but it's dark out

what went here?? there isn't anything attach to this hole anymore.

I pretty much guarantee you have an up pipe as well. This car is not looking to hot. How is the condition of the body? How much did you pay for it?
