Hey guys and gals here at ClubWRX, I've learned quite a bit about my newly purchased '02 WRX Wagon. I'll get some pictures up of it shortly (when the salt and snow isn't destroying its beauty)... My name is George, I turned 18 not too long ago, but have been tinkering with my 240SX's since 15 so it's not too new of an area for me!

This ownership all started out when I needed a car worse than bad for school since my 240SX project was taking too long, so I decided what the heck; I took out my first loan to build some credit and purchased the car from a local Scooby dealer. Its PSM, 5 speed and had only 44,7xx on the clock (now almost 48,000!)

So far, I've gotten a Kartboy short throw (no bushings yet), Rally Armor UR flaps with their red logo (have yet to get time to put them on), and a Skunk2 Cat-back coming in the mail sometime soon (used, old design). I know the cat back is more or less useless, but I don't have the time (or funds) for the down pipe yet (I'm doing the up/dp at the same time, makes the most sense) plus nothing makes me smile more than a wagon with a pronounced boxer rumble . I have also picked up a used TXS TMIC from a friend's wrecked Subie for a deal of a lifetime, so I don't see why I can't use it even though its really not necessary for a daily driver with just bolt ons.

Plans: Hotchkis/Cobb F/R Sway Bars and rear mounts, Whiteline Endlinks, H-Tech Springs, GR-2's, Up Pipe, Invidia V3 DP, K&N Typhoon/SPT sri, open source or a protune

I have seen and met a few guys local to me, especially since I hang out over to JVG Motorsports from time to time!

Thanks for the kind welcomes! The 17mm rear sway bar definitely won't suffice for where I live and the roads I drive every day! (Plus a 40 minute commute to work/ 50min. to school can get you doing some 'spirited' driving in between to pass the time...)

Well if you're ever over to Zilvia, Nasioc, or Freshalloy, you'll be beaten to a pulp if you ask a question that has been posted, plus why wait for a response and waste someone's time when it has already been covered?

    Welcome to the club

Where about in Albany are you? I live in Guilderland (infamous for their speed traps).

Actually I'm out in Berne (Berne-Knox-Westerlo school is about 5 minutes from me), about 10 minutes from Altamont.

Ahh, BKW - I've done my fair share of burn cruises through there. Actually was out on Street Rd by the Marsh (where the town hall overlooks) blazing last weekend.

All my family lives in Altamont, so I'm quite familiar with BKW as well (we go up to Rensselaerville to fish for bullheads in the reservoir)

Welcome to the forum! I grew up out that way, but a little bit west of you in Fultonville (actually in a little town outside of there you've never heard of). If you don't know where Fultonville is, it's the first Thruway exit after Amsterdam going west.

I have family out near Fultonville. By Amsterdam, you mean Amsterico, right?

I'm not touching that one with a 20 foot pole.

That city really went to crap when all of those immigrants starting moving in there from New York City. Crime went through the roof, the school turned into a war zone, businesses started shutting down everywhere. Believe it or not, the Amsterdam Mall used to be nice and have a lot of decent if not good stores in it.
