    Finally stepped

Well I went and finally did it, my little 06 TR is no longer stock. I went stage one with cobb sways and within one week I went stage II with prodrive springs and Cobb TBE. Sounds and drives great. I finally actually just registered on the site but I've been lurking for two years...thanks for the info. Next step protune....

Sounds like a nice car. Where are you from in the great city of Baltimore? I'm not to far up the street from the city.

Who have you decided on for the ProTune? Agile?

Yeah, I'm from downtown. I got all my stuff installed at Agile. They're fantastic at selling me things that I am a sucker for. I emailed Hill about the protune but he hasn't gotten back to me yet. I was wondering about whether an STI TMIC would help prior to a protune. I am looking for a reliable, though fast, driver. I'm thinking a protune could help me with that.

If you ask me a STI TMIC wouldnt be a horrible investment due to the summer heat we have and the fact they are rather cheap. I dont think you'll see massive power gains with on simple because of the small-ish stock turbo but your car will "recover" faster from hard runs.

Agile will usually recommend a new boost control soleniod either Prodrive or GM usually.

The only thing I'd worry about with a ProTune is the substantial amount of torque you'll be making over the stock map. There are plenty of people who break their trannies (3rd gear for some reason) with 06+ wrx's that have been tuned.

They recommended the solenoid. In terms of the torque, I agree, but I am kinda driving like a puss, and Andrewtech is 45min away.

I ordered sways and springs. Wrong springs were ordered. I thought what the heck, why not get an accessport? Got the accessport and flashed it there. I dunno if it is just placebo, but the pickup definitely felt better. Now stage 2.....that's a different story
