Just bought 08 Dark Gray Metallic WRX Hatch..

Hi All!

I just drove out of the dealer yesterday. I left the dealership with 15 mile and now i have 75. I just can't stop driving this car. It isn't my first turbo vehicle. I had a nissan 300zx TT. But this is my first new turbo car. Any suggestions on breaking in the car. I have read previous post and i would appreciate any additional information. And i have a few concerns about the headlights. The headlights seem a bit faint and low. Is there a way to make it brighter ?

Hey, the headlights should be fine, I drove home my parents new 08 sedan last night. No issue w/ the headlights. Did you turn the knob all the way or is it on parking lights? Also are your fogs on?

Break in:
Stay under 4,000 rpm
Do not floor the gas pedal
Vary the RPMs. Dont stay in 5th gear for 2 hours cruising (ecu needs to learn)
@ 1,000mi get an oil change and then after go every 3,000mi

Yes the lights are turned all the way. I just imagined them to shine a bit brighter like the gti's and such. Or are they 2 different types of headlights

GTI? Do you mean STI? In which case they have HIDs, WRX is halogen. I thought the lights were very bright on the 08 WRX.

I've had my '08 WRX sedan for about 2 weeks and have driven at night and at night in the rain (which is usually the worst for headlights). The headlights are very good and quite bright. They aren't HID but they're projector headlights and have the same features as the HID's (the cutoff and everything).
