Hello everyone.
I have been reading the forums here for about a week now and haven't posted in the New Member Hangout.
Back in mid september i was on the verge of buying a an Evo MR. I think the only thing that stopped me from doing this was that the closest EVO was 3 hours away. Instead, i drove an hour to get a '08 WRX. I have already put 1,000 miles on it and took it to the 1/8 mile track this weekend. My previous experiance at the track was with a FWD DSM. All that thing would do is spin off the line, not very fun.
I ganked the boost gauge and BOV off the DSM before i sold it. So the gauge is my first mod. Right now i am at work waiting for UPS to deliver my wideband. It should be here very soon. Actually i just had to sign for it while typing this...lol. Then its off to the shop to get the WideBand and DP Back Exhaust installed. I read on NAISOC that Japtrix's '08 WRX project car was running fine with a 3 inch exhaust.
Well, i guess i am going to open up this box. Have a nice day.

Throw away the bov buddy... bad idea...![]()

Congrats! The '08s are lookin' good. I'm eager to see what kind of modifications start happening.
"Did you sleep well?"
"No, I made a couple of mistakes."

I wasnt going to put it on yet. It's a Greddy type RS that i wasn't ready to part with. I thought as long as i recirculate the BOV i would be good. if i don't recirculate i would run rich, right? then i fix that by turning the boost up to 35. j/k.
i will wait on installing the BOV or just sell it.
Good luck with your mods, and congrats on the new WRX.

welcome to the club from one '08 owner to another. Enjoy the car, I'm liking it more and more everyday. Also, I'm surprised as to how many compliments the '08 is getting.
i think that's the only one i have right now, aside from my avatar.
if the track updates it's website i might have one or two more from that night.
What did you run at the track?

Congrats on the new car. I was tempted to get a new 08 but still haven't grown to love the body yet. I know in time I will; I ended up getting an 06 WRX TR. Just like everyone else, I'm anxious to see what and how others are going to be fixing up their 08's.
